We have seven children - five of our children are adopted special needs children. Our adopted children have dyslexia, ADD, FAS, health problems and behavioral problems. We attended any seminars and workshops put on by the Dept. of Education and the Dept. of Social Services in regards to these problems and did not receive any answers. Our oldest daughter found a book "A Light in the Tunnel-- and it's not an oncoming train", about the neurodevelopmental approach , written by Elizabeth Harms. We read the book and contacted Hope Centre immediately. This is the only programme that gave us answers in the form of exercises that are done daily in the home that over a period of time improve the child's brain function, which in turn eliminates the behavioural problems and improves the child's academic skills.

We have had our children on the ND programme for three years and have seen improvement in behaviour both at home and in social settings; we have seen the children's social skills improve; and have seen their academic skills improve dramatically. Other improvements that have resulted from this programme are improvements in speech, coordination, hearing and most definitely in the children's ability to concentrate.

Our two biological children have also benefited from what we have learned working with Hope Centre - their organizational skills and mathematical skills have improved.

We highly recommend this programme for "special needs" children, academically talented children and for "normal" children.
