My name is Zach Combs and I have been attending The Center for Neurodevelopment (CFND) for two years. It has helped me grow tremendously with my education and learning. Before The Center for Neurodevelopment, I was in public school all my life up to my junior year. The public schools I went to did not give me the services and help I needed. They did not follow my IEP and my parents fought every school, but we were getting nowhere fast. My parents wanted to get me out of public school and find some real help, instead of just having the schools pass me, so they could get rid of me like they were doing. That help was finally found, when my mom came across The Center for Neurodevelopment. She went to check out and meet the people who run The Center for Neurodevelopment. When she met Maggie and Ronnie Dail, she was instantly intrigued by what they knew and had to offer for help. My mom then took me to meet the evaluators of CFND (Cyndi Ringoen and Maggie Dail). The evaluation revealed where I was as far as my grade level. I found out that I was not at my grade level as far as knowledge. Mrs. Dail told me that my dominance was all mixed up, which made it hard for my brain to store information in the right side of my brain as needed. They made a list of different activities for me to do that would train my brain to get to one side dominance. At first, I thought that the activities were silly, futile and would not work, but as I kept doing them I started noticing big differences in every area of my learning. I could read faster, comprehend more, my vocabulary increased, and my memory improved. Everything I was having troubles with was disappearing and I felt more confident in myself. It also helped me in areas that are separate from my education such as my depression, wiliness to try new things, shyness, my faith in God and so much more. After doing these activities for just six months, they tested me again to see how I was doing and I had jumped years in every academic area of my education. The results were just overwhelming; I could not believe how much growth I made in that amount of time by doing those simple activities. Mr. and Mrs. Dail are so supportive, caring, helpful and loving with everything, which make it all the easier. Personally, I think that if you need help like I did, they are the people to go to for sure. You would be very blessed to have them help you. They are one of the many blessings from God that I will remember forever and they will always be a part of my family and my heart. Now thanks to them and my parents I will be graduating this year, the class of 2011. After high school, I will be going to a community college to get a back up plan for my future. Once I do that, I will be off to a music college for guitar. The CFND is the best place to go for anybody that has a neurodevelopment problem/disability, or needs brain training. It truly works wonders, so I would encourage you to go here, especially if you’re looking for real help. |
